*Rishikesh – Omkaranand Mahotsav celebrated with pomp*

Janadhar News Rishikesh On 25 December 2023, Paramhans Swami Omkaranand Saraswati Jayanti Mahotsav was celebrated with great pomp and joy at the Auditorium-Omkaranand Saraswati Natyakala Academy. At the beginning of the program, the pundits of Omkaranand Kamakshi Devi Temple sang the recitation of Sundar Kand melodiously. Thereafter, the cultural and musical programs were inaugurated by jointly lighting the lamp by Ashram head Swami Visvesvaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Ashram General Secretary Kumari Somashekhari, and Swami Sundaranand Saraswati, President, Karthikeya Ashram. Omkaranand Mahotsav will continue from today till December 31, 2023.

In the programme, students of Omkaranand Gayatri Veda Vidyalaya recited Vedic mantras. On this occasion, the Bharatanatyam dance presented by Gurubhakti Ratna Kumari Somashekari enthralled the audience. On this occasion, the devotional dance presented by Ms. Arpita was highly appreciated. Apart from this, other artists also presented folk songs and got applause.

In the program, the saints who came from other ashrams and the officials of senior citizen organizations praised Gurudev Swami Omkaranand Saraswati and his special disciple Mahant Shri Swami Vishweshwaranand Saraswati for the unprecedented contribution made in the field of education.

At the end of the program, Ashram President Mahant Shri Swami Vishweshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj awarded and thanked all the present saints, educationists, artists and colleagues. Expressed his gratitude to all the people present at the function.

The program concluded with the aarti of Paramhans Swami Omkaranand Saraswati ji and flower garland. The program was efficiently conducted by Dr. Apoorva Trivedi. At the end of the program, all the attendees became partakers of the virtue by taking Prasad from the Bhandara organized by the Ashram.

Swami Sachchidanand, Dr. Anupam Vaidya, Mr. Pramod Uniyal, Mr. Agnihotri, Dr. Rai, Mr. Pradeep Vaid, Mr. Joshi, Pt. Suresh Joshi, Pt. Bainjwal, Mr. Surendra etc. had special support in the successful conduct of the program.
